Who we are
Priority To QuickBooks is an internal Windows app of Hefestus Technologies Ltd. ("Hefestus Technologies"). It is used only by our own staff, for Hefestus USA's QuickBooks Online company.
What the app reads and changes in QuickBooks
- Items in Products & Services: name, SKU, sales description, and status (active or inactive).
- Picture attachments linked to those items.
The app changes only the sales description and the item picture of existing items. It does not read or change customers, vendors, invoices, payments, bank data, reports or any other financial data. It does not create or delete items.
Why
To keep item descriptions and pictures in QuickBooks the same as in our Priority ERP system.
What we store, and where
- Sign-in tokens from Intuit, on the PC that signed in. They are encrypted with Windows data protection (DPAPI), so only the same Windows user on the same PC can use them.
- A log file on the same PC. It lists what the app did, for example which item was updated. It holds item numbers and descriptions, never passwords or tokens.
- The app's own keys for Intuit (client ID and secret), stored encrypted with the app.
We do not copy QuickBooks data to any server, cloud service or database outside QuickBooks.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share any QuickBooks data with anyone. The app sends data only to Intuit (QuickBooks Online) and reads from our own Priority system.
How to disconnect
A QuickBooks admin of Hefestus USA can disconnect the app at any time: in QuickBooks Online, open Apps, then My apps, and click Disconnect. The saved sign-in stops working at once.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
